Web Desk: The price of gold in Pakistan and the global market has increased again after a two-day decline. The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by a significant Rs4,800, reaching Rs472,062 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,116, taking it to Rs404,717. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a hike of Rs3,774 to be sold for Rs371,004.

Pakistan and the IMF have finalized a staff-level agreement on the third review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the second review of the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF). The agreement is subject to approval by the IMF Executive Board. Once cleared, Pakistan will receive $1 billion under the EFF and approximately $210 million under the RSF. This will bring total disbursements under both programs to around $4.5 billion.
