News Desk: The Met Department has issued a flash flood alert as a new spell of westerly winds is set to enter Pakistan. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected across multiple regions from April 1 to 4.
According to the Met Department, a fresh system of westerly winds will enter the country via Balochistan. This weather system is expected to bring widespread rain, thunderstorms, and changing weather patterns across Pakistan.
Authorities have warned of a serious risk of flash flooding, particularly in areas surrounding the Kabul River from April 2 to 4. The Met Office said water flow and levels in the Kabul River may rise abnormally during this period.
