Web Desk: A massive bomb cyclone is set to strike the northeastern United States, threatening millions with severe snow, strong winds, and widespread disruptions.
The storm is predicted to drop 18 to 24 inches of snow along the I-95 corridor, with wind speeds reaching up to 70 miles per hour, making it one of the most severe weather events in recent history. Over 20 million people across the region are expected to be affected.
Air travel has already been heavily disrupted, with nearly 7,000 flights either canceled or delayed at major airports in cities including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and New Jersey.
The National Weather Service has issued emergency warnings across six states, urging residents to stay indoors, prepare for hazardous conditions, and avoid unnecessary travel.
Snow accumulation forecasts indicate up to 24 inches in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia, while Washington D.C. and Baltimore may see 5 to 8 inches. Certain areas in New Jersey are expected to receive more than 2 feet of snow.
